Basic nail care at home

nail care

Having a day of the week to go to the salon getting a manicure  is the dream of many women. However, finding a break in the weekly schedule, amid the rush of everyday life often becomes an impossible task. Is thisyour reality? Do not despair. We’ve selected valuable tips on how to take care of your nails at home until your next visit to the manicure, preventing them from looking messy.  With few products and some dedication, you will show off manicured hands forever.

The more hydrated the cuticles are, the less chance of having the tips loose. Spread cream on the hands when washing them or feel they are dry. It is also worth investing in a nutrient wax (which can be used over polish) to maintain the cuticle soft and in place. Try Racco’s Nutriplus C Nails & Cuticle Cream that besides hydrating the cuticles, strengthens the nails and help them grow faster. Apply three to four times a day. Try not to remove the cuticle with pliers and just push it with a spatula, removing only the excess skin.

In addition to a diet rich in calcium, protein and foods with vitamin A (such as sweet potato, leafy greens, butternut squash, sardines, kale), almond oil is another toughening helper for weak nails. Apply it before nail polish so that it is in direct contact with the nail’s surface.

Nail polish

It is increasingly difficult to find women with natural nails – without polish or base. But it is recommended to take at least a week off so that the nails can recover from aggression caused by chemical agents from nail polishes (which can dry and lead to breakage). Important: Vary the colors often since dark nail polishes contribute to staining.

Filing the nails makes them stronger so make sure you do it every week.  When it’s time to buy a nail file look for the ones that have multiple functions like sanding, polishing and adding shine.
